Abstract

Winged scapula is caused by the lesions of long thoracic nerve, spinal accessory nerve or dorsal scapular nerve. Majority of them are usually caused by injuries during sports activity, trauma, infection, intoxication and operative injuries. We report that, In this case, repeated shoulder flexion, abduction, external rotation & internal rotation movement induced winged scapula due to long thoracic nerve injury without strong direct trauma, infection or surgery.
